Matt’s comedy career kicked off in 2000 during a sketch-writing workshop, where one gig quickly became three—and soon a global solo career was underway, after starting out in a duo. Known for his everyman charm and lightning-quick wit, he’s a favourite among comedians and audiences alike.

He was a Daily Telegraph Award finalist in 2002 alongside Mark Watson and Gary Delaney, reached the semi-finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards and So You Think You’re Funny, and was a Leicester New Act of the Year finalist.

A sought-after compère, Matt hosts shows at over 15 venues across the UK, has supported Jim Jefferies and the One Man Star Wars Trilogy, and performed at festivals including Bestival, Sonisphere, Leeds, Reading, and Altitude, sharing stages with Tim Minchin, Sean Lock, and Frankie Boyle. TV credits include Comedy Store Presents (Comedy Central).

At Edinburgh, he appeared in the 2006 Big Value lineup with Sarah Millican before debuting his solo show, Stalked, to rave reviews.
